Launched in 2013, Baky Hospitality Group owns and operates a unique collection of award-winning dining destinations across Egypt.

FCC thoroughly designed tailor-made – alcoholic and non-alcoholic – bar menus for each of their outlets, drawing inspiration from each concept: Lexie’s (Italian), Kazoku (Contemporary Japanese), Shinko (Gastro Bar), Sachi Heliopolis & Sachi Park Street (Mediterranean Japanese), Sachi by the sea (Mediterranean Japanese, Beach Resort Edition), and Megumi (Japanese-inspired Cocktail Room).

We also introduced independent projects such as:

  • The Ice Program, where we make and hand-cut our ice in all outlets, and the super juice project, which reduced the cost and consumption of lemon by over 80%;
  • The Zero Waste Project, where we upcycle the vegetables and fruits wasted in the Kitchen and Bar into kinds of vinegar, syrups, and different preserves;
  • The Wall-to-Bar Project aims to transform the walls in the restaurants’ back areas into hydroponic farms for greens and edible flowers;
  • The Bar Laboratory, where we rectify local alcohol and introduce modern flavoring and mixing practices like rotary evaporators, centrifuges, oil distillers, and ultrasonic techniques;
  • Making and bottling Baky Hospitality’s wine brand in collaboration with a local winery;
  • The Aging Program, where we introduced the first-ever gold-aged cocktail in collaboration with a jewelry house, the first-ever camel-leather-aged Cocktail, and a wine-barrel-aged Cocktail that we placed in a custom-made botanical garden in partnership with a local winery.

Chef Tarek took over the kitchens of Baky Hospitality in March 2021 for an eighteen-month contract that involved designing the Kitchen and Food Menus and managing the entire kitchen operation of Sachi and Megumi – two promising outlets off the shore of picturesque Almaza. Soon after his debut as Head Chef, Tarek uplifted Sachi Heliopolis’s Menu just as BH had initiated a renovation plan for the crowd-favorite after eight years of heavy operation. The menu introduced a friendly set of creations rooting Sachi to its Egyptian origins and celebrating it with various Mediterranean techniques and aromas.

The same direction was introduced in Sachi By the Sea last season in Hacienda where Ched Tarek had customized a Fire Hearth specially designed for a fruitful live cooking theme that became a weekly tradition for the clientele. He also modified the Menus of Kazoku and Lexie’s at a later stage and completed an entire plan for Sachi Almaza’s Kitchen – from design to completion – managing the kitchen and leading the staff throughout the whole season.

As a result of our dedication, Sachi and Kazoku ranked 1st and 2nd best restaurants in Egypt (5th and 19th in MENA) in 2022 according to The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, while Shinko was shortlisted in the top 10 Cocktail bars in the Region according to Tales of the Cocktails.
